Into The woods - John Yorke

I recently came across John Yorke's Into the Woods: How Stories Work and Why We Tell Them and found it one of the more compelling books on storytelling and structure I've read. Unlike hundreds of other books on story structure, Yorke doesn't just tell you how stories work; he asks why, which is a much more interesting question.
I gave a short presentation on the book's key ideas, linked below. It covers the building blocks of narrative: structure, character, theme, and the midpoint, with plenty of film and TV examples to bring it to life. If you're interested in storytelling, I'd recommend both the presentation and the book.
